Keeping Connected on the World Wide Web

oh man!!

so, why buy a house? well, it may be cheaper to rent, and way more expensive to buy, but eventually we will need a bigger house. hey, what can i say, we like entertaining. and if we were going to rent anywhere else that was nicer and bigger (livingroom) than our place now, it would be exponentially more expensive. anyways, please pray. we want a good place. a place with a shower, and air conditioning, and a big living room, or a nice built out basement suitable for parties, and perhaps a little crappy garage, (though kimberly wants a nice garage), and something affordable with lower than usual monthly payments (is this just dreaming). the reason i'm saying all this is because we have a meeting with scu today, and a meeting with david unruh (real estate agent) tomorrow. when did the ball start rolling? is this real? am i old enough to own a house? weird crazy days...but on the upside, if we did get a house, we'd have a house-warming party complete with presents. i love presents!!

My only suggestion at this point is to be careful. Often a buyer wants a house in a certain price range, and what often happens is that the real estate agent will take you to look at houses above that price range in order to get you to buy a more expensive house. If he is the listing agent of that house, that means a large comission for him. (I say "him" because you are going with a him, I'm not being gendre exclusive.) Anyway, be careful, and always take into account what mortgage payments will be, as well as what taxes will be, that can make a big difference on your monthly payments. As well, if you want a built out basement, AC and a nice garage be ready to pay a crap-load.
Good luck, we'll be praying.

Peace OUt.

Jonathan,
Big decisions. I remember the excitement and the fear. We have never been sorry that we owned the houses we owned. Joel is right about making sure you understand all the costs involved. If you get one that needs work, you can count on me to help. We will pray.
Dad.

well, david unruh is a nice guy, with, i think, our best interest in mind. that's awesome. and hey, it's not like we're in a rush right? we've got tons of time for God to reveal to us the best house for us. we'll just keep praying.
