Day one

What a fascinating day! Spent the day with Dave & Judy and went with them. In the morning we went to do an AIDS presentation in a school.It was all in Spanish,but it looked very interesting and was very important for the students. Later in the day we went to the AIDS hospital and saw what was happening there. Most of the people involved are very poor. The work is a great work of compassion, which points people to Jesus as the one who can help not only in this life, but for all eternity. Met many people, volunteers, workers and clients. Many of the HIV. Some of the stories are so sad. God is at work. It is going to take a while to process all this. This evening we had supper with Travis and Rosey Zacharias who are studying Guarani in order to learn to be missionaries. There is so much to learn and it is interesting.
