more song lyrics...

the first one i think is pretty good...it may need some work in the verses. the second one i think the verses are on the right track, but the chorus needs a bit more, and there a transition that has no lyrics yet. enjoy!!

An Ode to My Beloved Soldier
Lyrics by Jonathan Toews

Chorus
I want you to stop
I don’t want you to stop
Continue on, despite myself
This is an ode to my beloved soldier

Verse 1
The fighting is fierce
The fighting it is fierce
Bombs rip through your chest
But there’s no stopping you
From making every attempt to
Break through enemy lines and
Come out clean
Come out alive on the other side

Verse 2
Bad things happen at night
Bad things happen, I’m weak
You and me against the devil
The devil and me against you
“Her house leads down to death
And her paths to the dead
None who go to her return”
Where will I end up?

Breakdown
Where will I end up?
Fight on my beloved soldier

Song 2
Lyrics by Jonathan Toews

Verse 1
A shadow once forgotton bids you “Welcome to my home”
Run quick flee now, the doors right there
Too late, chained to the wall and feeling alone
Break chains be free beyond compare
The shadow persists and you feel a new war raging in your head
Where is the peace that once was sought
Synapses trigger staving off the bullets that are said
The price was paid your life was bought

We will lift our hands, up high, up high (4x)

Chorus
You’re not responsible, to save yourself
He can and has done everything, done everything now…

Verse 2
The bullets breaks what your have experience and know to be true
Ideas take control within
From beneath your skin barbs and spikes rip looking for a chance to break through
Torn down, no hope, you’ve become your sin
Can you feel it in your bones as the shadow’s stalking near
The other side is like the sun
Cancer spreads quickly, but fear not, hear the whisper in your ear
Peace peace, rest rest, the fight is won.

Very good lyrics hunny! I've decided you are a crazy artiste now because of how in mid conversation you write down a lyric that just came to mind, and with in minutes you have written a poem. You remind me of Mark Fast because he always had to make note of things that he saw that could influence his creations.

Found you guys through Rebekah's blog...don't know if any of you remember me from Simonhouse...

But if you do, a big HELLO!!! to Joel and Colleen! So nice to finally see your faces again, even if it is on a computer screen. :)
