Good morning family! I am somewhat discouraged. I have been sick for 2 weeks with the flu and a cold (which I am still not over) and now I feel like I am back to square 1. I ran Thurs. and Fri. because I thought I was sort of finished with my cold. I can hardly run 2 miles without walking and gasping for breath....ok, maybe not gasping but definitely difficult. I know I will not be running the marathon and now I have doubts as to whether I can even run half. But, I will persevere. How are all the rest of you doing?

aw, mom. that sucks!! i just ran 10 on monday and 6 this morning. i'mn scared to sign up for the full, but i think i will soon, just so i'm committed. i can definitely do the half, but the full would be the challenge
Hey all! Good that someone FINALLY posted something about the training.
Too bad about the sickness Mom, but I totally believe in you that you could do the half. You've still got about 13 weeks which is lots of time.
And Jonathan, you should sign up ASAP and just go for it! You can totally do it, no problem.
As far as this past week goes, I ran 4 on Tuesday, 5 on Wednesday, and will do a couple of longer ones this weekend.
Gareth, how are you doing?
By the way... yay on finding a date for the family canoe trip.

I seem to be on the every other week schedule, which I'm thinking isn't the best way to train. I find it hard to run when I'm working.
I did run 9 miles last weekend though. Yeah!!!!
i did 14 miles this morning and it went pretty well. the no ice makes a big difference.
