mother's day...
we should start discussing when we are going to celebrate the mother's day festivities, which just so happens to be a very important day, seeing as how we have a great mother!! the day itself is completely out for kimberly and i because it's my last day, and there are many and various celebrations going on that day at church. pretty much anything else for me is good, and kimberly is off that weekend. let's discuss...and both kimberly and colleen's birthday's are coming up...

Thanks for getting the ball rolling. Sat. May 12 will work for us. Do you all want to come here?

OK, so how about the weekend before or the weekend after. I know it is May long weekend but the Mon. would work. Mom
The weekend before works better with my schedule as I am not working because I took that weekend as vacation. We don't have anything planned for that weekend yet. The week after I will be working nights. Monday is my birthday, but that's okay. Are we combining mother's day and our birthdays. I know it can be complicated sometimes, but I figure us kids could bring food potluck style....that is if everyone can be trusted to remember to bring their part. And, Kristen and Gareth may have to bring more than just chips. Anyone agree?
How about getting together on Saturday, May 5 at our place? Yes no???

Works for me! And Jonathan too, I think.
yeperoo!!
I think that would work for us. I am just coming off of a Lock-In, so no guarantees to my level of cohesiveness. I will check with Colleen. Also, I would be willing to bring and grill something for the occasion. Carolina BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich? We'll see.
Peace OUt.

May 5th works for us. Gareth is volunteering for the Physiofit run that day, but he said that would only be in the morning for a little bit. And yes...we would be more than happy to bring something other than just chips. I make a reallly awesome taco salad that I would be willing to bring. We could also bring chips if you want. Or buns...or even condiments. I'll leave the big meat cooking to Joel though. That meat stuff isnt' really my thing. Sounds like a fun day!!!
Jonathan could possibly bring his classic bacon salad. We could bring buns too. That chicken pull sounds really really good Joel. Same with the taco salad Kristen. I like where we are heading here.
Sounds like we have a plan. We would like to invite you to come after lunch on Saturday, since Gareth is busy in the morning and we also have things to do. We will provide the beverages.
We will add the dessert as well. Kimberly and Colleen, anything you want or need for your birthday?Mom
Here are some of my likes: Angel food cake with Strawberry topping and whipped cream, banana sundaes, classic brownies. Just to name a few. I'll be fine with anything tasty. As far as gifts go, I would like the new Sarah Harmer C.D.("I'm a mountain"), help around our house to do the following renovations: building a fence, installing tiles in our kitchen, making shoe racks in our front entrance closet, and yes, painting. I would also like a pedicure. Gift certs for MEC would also be nice.
