It's Painting Party Time!!!!

Anyone have a hankering for a painting party? Next week Wednesday/Thursday you are welcome to come to my house to paint during the day. I really want to get all the painting (except for the kitchen) finished. The variety of colours will keep you in the painting mood for a long time (red, blue, yellow, purple). Come for the painting, but stay for the good time.

By the way, I've been putting this off, but I've been reminded again, so it's pay up time. If everyone could send 40 my way for the canoe trip, that would be great. Ten for the food, and 30 for the gas. We chugged a lot of fuel.

Hello all my children
Just to let you all know one more time.......There is a family get together on Thursday Aug.23 at Ed and Heidi's at 6:30. You can well imagine my surprise when Heidi told me that One of you didn't know about it. I distinctly remember telling All of you on our canoe trip when we were sitting around together. Well I have now done my part.......again. I think you should let Heidi know if you are coming or not to help her plan the amount of food that she needs. Anyhooo, that's all for now! A Wonderful Trip

Well, I hope that everyone had a wonderful trip, I know that I did. The weather was great, the location beautiful and the company....just kidding, it was great to be together. The following are some of my favorite pics. I will burn the ones that I have on CD. Let me know if you want a copy or not.

Canoe Trip

What an amazing canoe trip we went on. We left on Tuesday and drove to the Seagram Lake Canoe route in Nopiming Provincial Park. It was very hot, but we walked to the first lake, paddled across it. Portaged and then paddled the second lake, portaged and paddled the third lake to our camp site. It was a beautiful site and we set up and enjoyed a well deserved swim. After an amazing supper of campfire dinner, we enjoyed relaxing and games. It was a little hot the first night and that made it hard to sleep, but we did get a good sleep, especially in the morning when it got cooler. The next day we did some paddling, had a loooooong game of Phase 10 and had an enjoyable swim. For supper we had Mexican and a oreo cheese cake made by Joel and with birthday candles for George & Carla's birthday. The second night was much better. In the morning we packed up and after breakfast we paddled back. It was difficult because it was so windy. After several dumps into the lake, both in the kayak so no gear was wet or lost, we made it back.
Everyone did great and it was so much fun. The laughter and enjoyment of the beauty and the challenge made it a great time for all. Special thanks to our expedition leader - Joel - who drove the van and organized the meals, which were so good.
